It turned out that the Road Warriors weren't getting as much heel heat as the
promoters were expecting. The LOD were so good at
what they did, and were so revolutionary, that they were still being cheered!
As a result, The LOD was stealing the heat from the real
good guys. The NWA eventually had to turn them face again to at least justify
them being cheered. Hence the feud with the Varsity
Club.

ULTIMATE Warrior already in the WWF, Vince McMahon thought that the fans would
be confused by the ROAD Warriors being there,

Doom in handicap matches with Mr. Fuji wrestling

Ellering and the Legion of Doom are in Chicago in the wreckage of the building
where Hawk & Animal grew up. Ellering
pulls a doll out of the wreckage. The LOD recognize him as their favorite toy
Rocco, who they used to practice beating up when they were children. Ellering
promises to bring Rocco to the Ring with the LOD as a way to remind them of

LOD v. Money Inc.
(This was
the LOD’s last match together for several years. Hawk would
Travel to Japan and begin teaming with Kensuke
Sasake as THE HELLRAISERS. Animal stayed with
the WWF for a short while longer and began teaming with Crush as the
NEW LOD. This
didn’t last very long though. Crush now has the distinction of belonging to
both Demolition AND the Legion of Doom. Summerslam 8/29/92)
