3.        Rockers v. Demolition (Good match - SNME 7/28/90)
4.        Rockers v. Orient Express (GREAT MATCH! - Royal Rumble 1991)
NOTE - The Orient Express at this point was comprised of Pat Tanaka and the masked Kato.  Kato under the mask was in fact, PAUL DIAMOND.
You may remember them from match #14 as Badd Company, who feuded with the Rockers back in the AWA.
5.        Rockers v. Haku & The Barbarian (Good Match - Wrestlemania 7)
6.        The Rockers & The Bushwackers v. The Nasty Boys & The Beverly Brothers [Mike Enos & Wayne Bloom] (Some mis-communication between the
Rockers results in Shawn Michaels getting pinned.  Survivor Series 1991)
7.        Rockers v. George & Shunji Takano (Japan 12/12/91  The Rockers are showing signs of dissension here, as they lose another match. - Japan)

Disk 3
8.        Rockers v. The Legion of Doom (DEFINITE dissension here, as the Rockers lose ANOTHER one due to mixed signals between them and nearly
COME TO BLOWS! - WWF TV)
9.        Shawn Michaels v. Ric Flair (GREAT MATCH!  The greatest performer of the 1980s takes on the man that will become the greatest performer
of the 1990s in their first and ONLY singles match!  Too bad it took place several years before Michaels' prime, and several years after Flair's.
Marty Janetty AGAIN costs Michaels the match!)
10.     INTERVIEW - Brutus Beefcake's Barbershop segment.  Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty address the problems that they've
been having of late.  They appear to come to terms and make up.   The Rockers hug each other, and just when you think
everything's back to normal, Shawn Michaels SUPERKICKS JANNETTY!  He then puts his partner through a PLATE
GLASS WINDOW!  Michaels begins his heel turn with a vengance, and THE "BOY TOY" IS BORN!
11.     Royal Rumble 92 (From when Shawn Michaels enters, until he's eliminated.  Ric Flair would go on to win the Rumble and the WWF Title.
        Shawn's day would come later.)
12.     Jimmy Snuka v. Shawn Michaels (Michaels is using a very lame looking back "tear drop" suplex as his finisher.  At this point, the Superkick is
used mainly as a set up. (MSG - March 2, 1992)
13.     Shawn Michaels vs. British Bulldog (March 16, 1992)
14.     Shawn Michaels vs. Virgil (April 20, 1992)
15.     Shawn Michaels vs. Roddy Piper (Intercontinental Title defense by Piper.  March To Wrestlemania VIII TV special)
16.     Shawn Michaels vs. "El Matador" Tito Santana (GREAT MATCH!  After more than 10 years with the WWF, Tito was mainly a "Jobber to the Stars"
here.  But Tito was still more than capable of working a good match, and he didn't dissapoint here.  Wrestlemania VIII)
17.     Shawn Michaels vs. Randy Savage (Germany - 1992)

Disk 4
1.        Shawn Michaels vs. Bret Hart (VERY GOOD MATCH!  This was one of their first matches in a feud that would last for 5 years and would go from
being strictly professional, to VERY PERSONAL.  Their matches would gradually improve as the years went on.  IC Title match, Invasion of the Bodyslammers)
2.        Shawn Michaels vs. Kerry Von Erich (low sound)
3.        Shawn Michaels vs. Bret Hart (Rampage 92, IC Title match)
4.        40 Man Battle Royale (Michaels and Bret Hart are eliminated and brawl with each other to the back.)
5.        Shawn Michaels vs. Bret Hart (Very Good match.  This was the WWF's first ladder match EVER.  Smack Em Whack Em)
6.        Ric Flair & Shawn Michaels v. Randy Savage & Bret Hart (Grudges, Gripes, and Grunts)
7.        Shawn Michaels vs. Rick Martel (Weird match, as "The Model" Rick Martel and Michaels are feuding over the affections
of "Sensational" Sherri, but are both so conceited and stuck on their good looks, that they insisted on a stipulation that
blows to the face were to be considered illegal.  Pretty funny finish, as the match denegrates to both men hitting each
other in the face, and the despondent Sensational Sherri faints in shock REPEATEDLY.  She also winds up taking some
pretty HILARIOUS punishment at the hands of both Michaels and Martel.  SummerSlam 92)
8.        Shawn Micaels v. Koko B. Ware (Michaels has now switched from the silly "Tear Drop" Suplex, to the more familiar
Super Kick as his finisher.  Coliseum Home Video)

14.     Shawn Michaels vs.Virgil  (IC Title match, Nov 30, 1992)

countout.  IC Title match, Coliseum Home Video)

Disk 6
16.     Shawn Michaels vs. Max Moon (Max Moon was Paul Diamond.  IC Title match, RAW Jan 11, 1993) good quality
17.     A recap of the Rockers' breakup.  Footage is then shown of HBK preening in the ring in front of a mirror and who does
Michaels see in the reflection coming up from behind but MARTY JANETTY!  The returning Janetty goes to town on
the Boy Toy!
18.     Shawn Michaels v. Marty Janetty (FANTASTIC MATCH!!!! It was a shame that Janetty's personal problems kept him
from  staying with the WWF  for any appreciable length of time.  This would have been a good feud if it didn't keep
getting interrupted by Janetty getting fired.  Royal Rumble 1993)
19.     FAMILY FEUD!  Yes, you read it right.  The WWF wrestlers competed against each other for several nights on the TV
gameshow FAMILY FEUD!  See HBK, Irwin R. Schyster[Mike Rotundo], Papa Shango[The Godfather], Repo Man
[Barry Darsow], and Jimmy Hart take on Randy Savage, Crush, Big Bossman, Tatanka and theReverend Slick.  This
was some pretty hilarious stuff.

2.        Shawn Michaels & Beverly Brothers v. Tatana & Nasty Boys  (Tatanka gets ANOTHER pin on Michaels.  RAW, Feb 15 1993.  With Tatanka still undefeated
in the WWF and with 2 pinfalls over the IC champion, he's now in line for a title shot at Wrestlemania, as we'll see in…..)

5.        Shawn Michaels vs. Jim Duggan (IC Title Lumberjack match, RAW May 10 1993)

hood gets in the ring to challenge HBK, and he takes the hood off to reveal himself as MARTY JANNETTY!!! RAW 5/13/93)
7.        Shawn Michaels v. Marty Jannetty (The once again returning Jannetty PINS SHAWN MICHAELS FOR THE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE! Raw 5/17/93)

Lawler who had gotten in trouble with the law and was being kept off of WWF TV.  During this match, Michaels pins
Owen Hart, leading to Owen's heel turn.  Survivor Series 1993)
2.        Shawn Michaels vs. 1-2-3 Kid (Michaels is wearing an Intercontinental belt, but is actually not the Champion.  The
current champion was Razor Ramon, and they would soon feud to determine an undisputed champion.  Good match as
Michaels finishes off the Kid with 2 Razor's Edge powerbombs to taunt Razor Ramon.  Ramon comes out to brawl with
Michaels, but thanks to Deisel, winds up on the losing end of the battle and takes 2 Razor's Edges of his own.  RAW -  Dec 6, 1993)
3.        Shawn Michaels vs Razor Ramon. (IC Title match, Paul Bearer's Hits from the Crypt)

title by pinfall or submission. [Razor won it in a tournament after Michaels had vacated the title.], and is still wearing his
own
IC belt to the ring.  Diesel once again interferes in the match and nearly costs Razor the Title, but MARTY
JANNETTY runs
in to even the score and help Ramon retain the IC title.)

3.        Shawn Michaels vs. Razor Ramon (GREAT LADDER MATCH!  The controversy over the IC title is finally settled as the
Heartbreak Kid and "The Bad Guy" put on the best ladder match that wrestling had seen to date.  Before the Hardy

Michaels
was thrown over the top rope to the floor, but only one of his feet touched.  (one stipulation of the Royal

in the career of the Heartbreak Kid and the WWF as a whole begins as HBK does a masterful job of dispatching Bundy
and playing to the crowd.  Michaels reconciles with "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel in the process - Raw 5/22/95
)

On the downside, Michaels' ego would also grow with his popularity.  Michaels, as well as his buddies In the infamous
Kliq, Kevin [Deisel] Nash and Scott [Razor Ramon] Hall would be more difficult to deal with behind the scenes)

WAIT!  WHAT'S THE KLIQ YOU ASK?

The Kliq consisted Shawn Michaels, Kevin "Diesel" Nash, Scott "Razor Ramon" Hall, Sean " 1-2-3 Kid" Waltman and HHH.
The five men were best friends in real life. During the time when all five were in the WWF simultaneously, they held an incredible amount of

influence over the booking of their matches (except for Waltman who basically enjoyed the privileges of membership without having any actual

power.) and would only sell moves for and put each other over. All five reportedly hated being called the "clique." The hand sign that was used by

the nWo was originated by them, as was the Degeneration X crotch chop.   While Davey Boy Smith was friendly with the Kliq, he was never a member,

despite rumors that circulated at the time. Likewise, Louie Spicoli was never a member of the group, despite his friendships with Waltman and Scott Hall.
(Although those friendships with Waltman, Hall and especially Kevin Nash would help Louie get a role in WCWs NWO the following year.  Unfortunately,

Louie passed away just as he was about to get a decent push.)

NOTE:  "The Kliq" was ALSO Shawn's collective name for his fans (like Hulk Hogan's Little Hulksters) , so named as an inside joke to those who knew

about the supposed existence of the "real” Kliq.

7.        Shawn Michaels vs Dr. Tom Pritchard (Pretty damn good match.  The ovation that Michaels gets is INCREDIBLE!  Superstars 5/27/95 )

known as the Roaddog
Jesse James].  Afterwards, he dances on the commentating table to the delight of the crowd.

2.        Shawn Michaels & Diesel vs Yokozuna & Daveyboy Smith   (Every WWF Title is up for grabs in the same match, as since
Michaels is the IC champion, and Deisel is the World Champion, whoever gets pinned loses their title.  In addition,
Yoko & O wen are the Tag Champions, and if either of them loses, HBK and Diesel win the Tag belts.  Vince McMahon
GUARANTEED that a title would change hands in this match.  Daveyboy Smith was designated the legal substitute for Owen Hart who was listed as injured.

here that night.  But Owen was indeed there, and would interfere in the match.  Unfortunately, he'd also get Jacknifed and pinned by Deisel, causing

his team to lose the tag team titles!  IYH 3)

3.        In what appears to be a 24hr "Dusty Finish", Jim Cornette's laywer, Clarence Mason appeals the title switch since Owen Hart

had been pinned even though Daveyboy Smith had been designated as Owen Hart's substitute, thereby making Diesel's pin on

Owen invalid.Diesel & HBK are stripped of the tag team championship, thereby giving the fans what they wanted (a title change)

and still winding up with nothing having been actually changed.  Kind of a cheap ploy, but it worked. RAW 9/25/95

7.        Shawn Michaels calls up during a Dean Douglas vs Jobber match to talk about being attacked in Syracuse .  (THIS ATTACK

WAS NOT PART OF AN ANGLE.  IT HAPPENED FOR REAL!!!   HBK was jumped by several men at a Syracuse

night club and beat up LEGIT, causing him to sustain a multitude of injuries inluding a severe concussion.)

Gorilla Monsoon announces that Shawn Michaels is too injured from his attack and would have to forfeit the Intercontinental

         title to Dean Douglas

8.        In a very emotional scene, Shawn Michaels forfeits the Intercontinental Title to Dean Douglas (Shawn looks very banged up
here, but it's mostly an act.  The story that went out over the air, was that Michaels was still injured from that beating he
took in Syracuse, and because he Couldn't compete, would have to forfeit the title - In Your House #4 10/22/95

THE REAL STORY …..
Shaw Michaels was EASILY in good enough condition To wrestle that night, but had not been getting along with Douglas
.

Shawn had actually intended to wrestle that night, and had told a friend that he'd embarrass Douglas in their match.
Whether by not being cooperative, not selling Douglas' offensive moves, or by some other way making Douglas look stupid on
live PPV, From what I was told, but when Douglas got word of this, he immediately sent word back that the instant Michaels

went outside of the "script" Douglas would SHOOT on Michaels and legitimately hurt him.  As a result, HBK refused to work

the match because he knew that in a fair fight, he wouldn't be able to beat Shane Douglas.

9.        Dean Douglas v. Razor Ramon (Because Michaels had a LOT of power in the WWF at the time, he was able to get away
with not only
not working the match,  but ensuring that Razor Ramon would not only be Michaels' substitute, but
Ramon would BEAT Douglas for the title THAT SAME NIGHT!   Douglas would very soon after, leave the WWF in
disgust. IYH#4 10/22/95)

3.        INT - Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart have a few unkind words to say to each other.   In real life, the relationship between

Bret and Shawn was tenuous at best, and was doomed to get a lot worse as time went on..  The argument didn't last too

long though, because Steve Austin runs in and attacks Hart.  - RAW 2/3/97
4.        Shawn Michaels comes out and on National TV, forfeits the WWF title "due to injuries."

NOTE:  Shawn Michaels, after trading the title with Sid in late '96, He gives a speech on the 2/13/97 edition of RAW and gives

his infamous "I lost my smile" speech, and vacates the WWF Championship. The official story is that Michaels needed time

off to heal his injured knee (which seemed to inexplicably flare up whenever HBK was slated to lose a match to someone that was not in the Kliq)

THE TRUE STORY
is that if Michaels had wanted to, he could have kept working through the injury, but didn't want to lay down for Bret Hart at
WM13, which was the original plan, as Bret Hart was supposed to win the WWF Title at the FINAL FOUR IYH PPV.  Hart
would then beat Michaels at WM13, but because Michaels didn't want to lose to Bret Hart, he vacated the title and left.
(HBK had also previously refused to drop the tile back to  Bret at Summerslam 96 as had been originally planned.  Michaels
ended up defeating Vader at Summer Slam as a result.)  His hiatus from the company not only hurt the "star power" of the
WM13 (which now had to go with the DISMAL main event of Sid v. The Undertaker, but also reduced the credibility of the
WWF Title lineage at a time when every little sniping potshot a fan could take against the WWF reverberated like a cannon
blast, as they were in a serious slump.  Even worse, the WWF at this time was getting TROUNCED by WCW and their NWO
storyline in the Monday Night ratings war.  This was just one instance in many of Shawn Michaels abusing his stardom and
Power to put himself and his ego ahead of what was good for the business.  This tendency to refuse to wrestle whenever he was
scheduled to lose to someone he didn't like  was COMPLETELY unprofessional, and just showed how immature and
egotistical Shawn Michaels had become since he became a main eventer.

2.        complains about being screwed A prophetic statement if I've ever heard one considering what would happen at the Survivor
        Series in November.  Wrestlemania 13)
3.        Shawn Michaels and the newly heel turned Bret Hart argue in the ring.  The two of them clearly don't like each other in real

life now, and you can tell by their words that they mean A LOT of what they are saying to each other.  Good exchange

that ends with Bret Attacking Shawn Michaels. RAW 3/24/97
4.        INT - Shawn Michaels cuts a DEVESTATING promo on Bret Hart.  He accuses Bret of being only interested in money,
with that being the only reason why he didn't go to WCW when he had the chance because he stuck McMahon for a bigger
contract. Michaels also takes Bret Hart to task for all the criticism that Hart heaped on him for not being as professional a
champion as Bret was.  This last part DID actually have some merit.  Bret Hart took himself WAAAAAAAY too seriously, and
believed that anyone that didn't carry himself like he did, wasn't worthy of holding the WWF title.  The honest truth is that
whether or not you like Shawn Michaels' attitude, he was indeed THE BEST WORKER IN THE HISTORY OF THE WWF.
(not necessarily the best WRESTLER, but easily the best PERFORMER.)  He made money for the WWF, and put people in
the seats.   RAW 4/7/97
5.        INT - Shawn Michaels.  HBK gets attacked by the Hart Foundation.  The Legion of Doom and Stone Cold Steve Austin
run In to make the save.  Doug Furnas & Philip Lafon run in as well and a total free for all takes place!  And just when you
thought nothing else could happen, THE UNDERTAKER comes in and together with Austin and the LOD, finally run the
heels off. RAW 5/5/97
6.        INT - Bret Hart in a wheelchair argues with Shawn Michaels.  Bret goes off on Michaels and the American fans in general.
Shawn responds by SUPERKICKING BRET RIGHT OUT OF THE CHAIR!!  The Hart Foundation runs in afterward and
DESTROYS MICHAELS!. RAW 5/12/97

NOTE:  The HART FOUNDATION (Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Jim Neidhart, Daveyboy Smith & Brian Pillman until he died
Were the WWF's most hated heel group.  They were involved in an excellent and original angle as the Foundation denounces
the American fans, while extolling the virtues of the fans in every other country in the world ESPECIALLY CANADA!  As a
result, The Hart Foundation would be booed as monster heels in America.

Stone Cold, you know he's not impressed with the offer.  The resulting brawl takes more than a half dozen officials to break up.  Owen
Hart challenges the two of them to a tag title match the following week.  Both HBK & Austin promise to find other partners besides
each other to fight the Hart Foundation - RAW 5/19/97
2.  Shawn Michaels answers Bret Hart's challenge to a 10 minute match.  And INSISTS that the rest of the Hart Foundation (who
has a habit of running in on each other's matches.) be at ringside handcuffed to the ringposts.

NOTE:  This is the interview where Shawn Michaels makes the remark that Bret had been having "sunny days".  This was
A SHOOT COMMENT that was meant to imply an accusation that Bret Hart was having an extra-marital affair with WWF
Valet Sunny.  This was a COMPLETELY UNSCRIPTED REMARK, and COMPLETELY unprofessional to do on LIVE TV.
This promo resulted in a LEGITIMATE SHOOT FIGHT BETWEEN BRET HART AND SHAWN MICHAELS!!!!  Shawn
got his A$$ KICKED BIG TIME! After all this happened, Michaels, who started this thing in the first place, attempted to sue
the WWF and get released from his contract because of "un-safe working conditions"  Wow, a wrestling promotion?  Unsafe?
Who-da-thunkit?  Michaels was very much wishing to get out of his contract with the WWF and go to WCW to be with his
Kliq buddies Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Sean Waltman (now known as X-Pac).  Shawn would begin pulling increasingly
immature stunts on TV in order to goad McMahon into firing him.  RAW 5/19/97

Michaels go.  Unfortunately, this meant that HBK could get away with being the most obnoxious guy in the locker room, and
basically do whatever he wanted without getting punished for it.  He didn't have too many friends in the WWF at this point.
Michaels, while being the WWF's best worker, was also virtually at the HEIGHT of his arrogance.  I say "virtually" because it

7.        HBK vs.  Undertaker (Hell in the Cell.   INCREDIBLE MATCH!  Both Michaels & Undertaker brawl both inside and
outside and ON TOP of the cage.    A BLOODY HBK takes the BIGGEST BUMP OF THE NIGHT as hanging from the
top of the cage, he takes a fall THROUGH THE SPANISH ANNOUNCER'S TABLE!  At the time, this match was
considered one of the best cage matches in history.   The Undertaker's Hell in the Cell match with Mankind the following
year, as well as HHH's Hell in the Cell  match with Cactus Jack in 2000 would blow this one away.    However, it
shouldn't take away from what took place here.  Also notable about this match, is that we saw the debut of KANE!  Kane
comes out in an excellent segment that had a direct impact on the end of the match.   Both Jim Ross and Vince McMahon
do a very good job of putting over.   Kane as an absolute monster here.  IYH Badd Blood - 10/5/97)
8.        Int.  HBK/HHH/Chyna/Rude.   The abuse of poor Michael Cole continues as he receives the WEDGIE FROM HELL!
Michaels manages to get in a shout out to Scott Hall, Kevin Nash & Shawn (X-PAC) Waltman (who at the time were ruling
WCW as the core members of the NWO) by referring to the infamous Kliq.

NOTE:  over the previous couple of years, Michaels, Helmsley, Nash & Hall were together in the WWF and Held significant
power back stage.   They were known by the other wrestlers as the Kliq.   Michaels would make various references to the kliq
during his interviews.   The fans thought he was referring to them (like Hulk Hogan referring to his "little Hulksters"
Michaels was really referring to him and his friends.   The Kliq used their Considerable influence with Vince McMahon to
derail the pushes of numerous wrestlers whom the various members of the Kliq didn't like.   Among them were Bam Bam
Bigelow, Lex Luger and Shane Douglas.  Anyway, Michaels calls for footage of the previous night's Hell in the Cell match, but
instead, we get of what became known as the "farewell to the Kliq" at Madison Square Garden in 1995.   This footage Showed
the aforementioned Kliq members celebrating in the ring together even though Helmsley & Nash were both heels, while
Michaels and Hall were babyfaces.   HHH even points this out during the segment as the video is shown.

ANOTHER NOTE:  HHH got the short end of the stick here as the WWF was EXTREMELY upset about the four Of them
BLATANTLY breaking kayfabe like they did.   Hall & Nash couldn't be punished however, because they were going to WCW.
They couldn't punish Michaels because he was one of the WWF's top stars at this point.   This left HHH.   Helmsley, who was
about to get a big push, was busted down to job detail for the next several months.   He was supposed to win the 1996 King of
the Ring Tournament.  But this was scrapped.   As a result, the KOTR victory went to a guy we know as "STONE COLD"
STEVE AUSTIN.   On that night, Steve coined the phrase:  Austin 3:16, and the rest was history.

BACK TO THE STORY - Before HHH & HBK were done berating Vince McMahon, the Hart Foundation interrupt.
Bret Hart proceeds to call Shawn Michaels several names including a DEGENERATE.   HBK answers Bret's tirade with 2
words that Michaels & his friends would make famous over the next several years.   "SUCK IT!" Raw - 10/6/97

STILL YET ANOTHER NOTE:  The exchange of insults between Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart appeared to be done with
great feeling.   The reason for this is because in real life, these guys really HATED each other.   This feud would continue in
and out of the ring in both work and shoot fashion for the next several months.   If you listen closely to HBK's comments
toward Bret in his RAW interviews from here on out, you will be able to catch numerous SHOOT insults and hidden
references to their actual real life feud.

8.        Bret vs.  HBK (World Title Match - Survivor Series 97 - 11/9/97)
(Without a doubt one of the most INFAMOUS matches in the History of the sport.   Bret & Shawn, who had LEGIT heat with
each other squared off in what turned out to be Bret Hart's LAST match in the WWF.   This was a GREAT MATCH, but this
match will not be known for it's work rate.   The match was scheduled to end with a DQ run in by the Hart Foundation.
However, Vince McMahon, afraid that Bret (who was to go to WCW) would show up on Nitro with the WWF championship
belt around his waist, decided to change the script.   Vince, unbeknownst to Bret Hart, ordered the referee to stop the match
the instant that Shawn Michaels locked Bret Hart in the Sharpshooter.   The result was the BIGGEST SCREW JOB IN THE HISTORY OF THE SPORT!

Series was so DETESTED by the fans that less than 24 hours after the WWF's biggest heel in Bret Hart lost his title, the crowd
was chanting "WE WANT BRET".  The WWF's fans, knowing that Michaels was at the center of it, hated him MORE THAN
EVER!  Vince & Shawn Michaels couldn't have been happier.   Raw - 11/10/97)
2.        HHH vs. Shamrock (Ending only as DX runs in to help HHH Raw - 11/10/97)
3.        Promo. DX (Rick Rude had left the WWF in protest of what happened to Bret Hart.  As a result, 125lb Harvey
Whippleman comes out to Rude's music and gets run off by DX.  Thus, Rude's character is unceremoniously dumped.
Shawn then surprises the crowd by promising an ON THE AIR MEETING WITH BRET HART!  Michaels actually
sounds sincere as he says that he takes responsibility for the Survivor Series incident, and promises to clear the air once and
for all with "The Hitman"  Raw - 11/24/97)
8.        The Face to Face meeting (I won't spoil the surprise here, but let's just say that it's just a "little" different from what you
may have been expecting.  BUT IT'S NOT OVER, as Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart comes out and threatens to beat up HBK and
the rest of DX.  Michaels, however, offers Neidhart a spot in DX.  Michaels cites that the rest of the Hart Foundation
abandoned "the Anvil", and that DX would give him the opportunity that Bret Hart never gave him. Raw - 11/24/97)
9.        Shawn Michaels v. Vader (Jim Neidhart is announced as the newest member of DX as he along with HHH, & Chyna come
down to ringside to support HBK.  After the match, DX attacks Neidhart...  Raw - 12/1/97).  Actually Neidhart, like Daveyboy
Smith, Rick Rude, and Brian "Crush" Adams quit the WWF in protest to the Bret Hart controversy.  Smith & Crush never
returned after the Survivor Series.  Neidhart was also allowed to leave the WWF, but was made to suffer a few extra
indignities before being given his release.
10.     Int. DX (IYH Degeneration X - 12/7/97)
11.     HBK vs. Ken Shamrock (World Title Match.  GOOD MATCH.  Shamrock avoids the Superkick and manages to slap on
the ankle lock submission hold, but DX runs in for the DQ.  Shawn Michaels is celebrating on the ring apron while HHH and
Chyna beat up Shamrock on the outside, but HBK is suddenly pushed off  the ring apron, and through a table by
OWEN HART!  The last surviving member of the Hart Foundation returns with a VENGEANCE, beating up Michaels and
escaping into the crowd to a HUGE POP!- IYH DX PPV- 12/7/97)

NOTE:  Owen Hart had wanted to leave the WWF like the rest of his family after the Survivor Series.  However, Vince
McMahon refused to let Owen out of his contract.  Vince knew that Owen was a TREMENDOUS talent, and didn't want to let
him go.  I can understand Vince's reasoning for keeping Owen, but I often wonder if Owen would still be alive today if Vince
had let him go.

12.     Promo. DX (HBK rips on the Hart family in general, and Owen in particular, calling him a NUGGET.  A dubious
nickname that stuck with him for the rest of his career.  DX then proceeded to play a game of strip poker while waiting
for Owen to show up.  Raw - 12/8/97)
13.     DOA vs. Los Boricuas. (Raw - 12/8/97)
14.     DX plays Poker (The Poker game has moved from ringside, to inside the ring.  The Headbangers come out for their match
and IMMEDIATELY wish they hadn't, as DX totally DESTROYS both men.  But just when it seems that all is lost,
OWEN HART comes out of the crowd again, and attacks DX!  Raw - 12/8/97

Disk 31
1.        Promo. DX (Raw - 12/15/97)
2.        HBK/HHH vs. Legion of Doom (During the match, the New Age Outlaws come out and attack the LOD for the DQ.  They
COMPLETELY OBLITERATE THE ROAD WARRIORS shaving off half of Hawks Mohawk, and powerbombing Animal
through the announcer's table, effectively destroying what's left of what was once the greatest tag team in the world.  With the
exception of a short reign as WWF Tag Team Champions (which would be cut short by the New Age Outlaws in ceremonious
fashion) The LOD would never regain any positive momentum in the WWF after this night, and would emark on a depressing
losing streak until they were finally released by the WWF.

NOTE:  Keep in mind that the Outlaws are not yet members of DX, but as the Outlaws walk away from the ring, Shawn
Michaels looks at them with an approving look on his face and says "not bad".  RAW - 12/15/97)

3.        Promo. DX (Another HILARIOUS promo by DX as they talk trash to the outlaws, Owen Hart and the Undertaker.  Slaughter
comes out and orders Michaels to defend his European Championship against HHH.  Raw - 12/22/97)
4.        HHH is on the way to the ring and is attacked by OWEN HART! (Raw - 12/22/97)
5.        HBK vs. HHH  (Helmsley pins Michaels in a complete mockery of a match.  But as we cut to the end of the show, we get a
look at Commissioner Slaughter, who looks like he has a plan to get back at DX.  He does indeed have a plan.  He promises
that HHH's first title defense will be against Owen Hart.  Raw - 12/22/97)
6.        Promo. Dx - HHH comes out on crutches due to a legit injury, promising no Euro title match with Owen Hart.  HBK
comes out in a casket, mocking his upcoming casket match with the Undertaker at the Royal Rumble.  But the BIGGEST (pun
intended) news is that Chyna comes out SEVERAL CUP SIZES LARGER THAN SHE WAS LAST WEEK!  The WWF
apparently sprung for breast augmentation surgery and HHH and Shawn Michaels proceed to make several (pretty funny)
jokes to commemorate the occasion.  Slaughter comes out and decides that HHH can't fight Owen Hart for the European
Title, then HBK would defend the World title against Hart.Raw - 12/27/97
13.  Shawn Michaels vs. Owen Hart (World Title Match.  This was Owen's first match since the Survivor Series incident, and He
puts on a pretty good show. - Raw - 12/27/97)
14.  Promo. HBK taunts the Undertaker (Raw - 1/12/98)
15. Video Buildup to HBK vs. Undertaker @ Royal Rumble

Disk 32
1.  Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker (VERY GOOD MATCH.  Several great spots here.  Say what you will about Shawn
Michael's attitude, but he was without a doubt, the BEST worker in the WWF at this time. He might not have been willing to
lose to anyone, but he could sell an opponent's offense better than EVERYONE!  With the help of the entire heel locker room,
and ultimately from Kane,  The Undertaker is stuffed into the casket, but it doesn't end there as Kane and Paul bearer roll the
casket to the back and SET IT ON FIRE!  Casket Match - Royal Rumble 98 - 1/18/98)

NOTE:  Unfortunately, it was in this match that Shawn Michaels would suffer an injury to his back, prematurely ending his
career a few months later at Wrestlemania XIV.
2.        Promo. DX.  Shawn Michaels makes a FANTASTIC entrance (I won't spoil it for you though) and gloats about his victory
The previous night at the Rumble.  (Raw - 1/19/98)
3.        Promo. DX (Raw - 1/26/98)
4.        DX Special Report  HHH & HBK discuss the words and phrases that cannot be used on RAW.    (Both versions are shown.  The
one that aired on Raw with the swear words bleeped out, AND THE COMPLETELY UNEDITED VERSION! - ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS!!  Raw - 2/2/98)
5.        Promo. DX tries to instigate a fight between Steve Austin and Mike Tyson (mainly to avoid the inevitable Austin v. Shawn Michaels main event at Wrestlemania 14. Raw - 2/2/98)
6.        Int.  New Age Outlaws (DX interrupetsRaw - 2/2/98)
7.        Austin vs. Road Dogg. (DX runs in and attack Austin.  Cactus Jack & Terry Funk make the save.  We're now building up

to the HBK v. Stone Cold main event at Wrestlemania 14.  Raw - 2/2/98)
8.        Int. Stone Cold / DX (Raw - 2/9/98)
9.        Footage from The Wrestlemania XIV Press Conference (Raw - 2/9/98)
10.     Promo - DX.  Austin comes out, but gets surrounded by DX and the Outlaws.  Then, to even the sides, Cactus Jack & Terry
11.     "Chainsaw Charlie" Funk come out from under the ring (literally).  Owen Hart then comes in from the back, and they run DX and the Outlaws off. (Raw - 2/9/98)
12.     Promo. DX at HBK's House.  As of right now, Shawn Michaels is scheduled to drop the title to Austin at Wrestlemania,
But HBK now had such a big (and well deserved) reputation for no-showing events where he's supposed to lose cleanly, that
Many people were expecting Michaels to pull another one of his traditional no-shows at Wrestlemania.  Vince McMahon was
very concerned that this would cause ticket sales and PPV buy rates to drop (he was probably right)  As a result, Vince
actually made Michaels say IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS that he would be at Wrestlemania to defend the WWF title against
Austin.  (Raw - 2/16/98)
11.     Promo. DX (Raw - 2/23/98)
12.     Mike Tyson Interview Interrupted by DX.  Tyson challenges HBK to a fight, and both DX, and Tyson's entourage leave the ring
so they can fight!  And just as they are about to lock up, HBK rips off Tyson's shirt and…..(Well that would spoil the surprise
wouldn't it?  Raw - 2/23/98)

8.        Promo. DX (Raw - 3/23/98)
9.        Video Buildup to HBK vs. Austin (Wrestlemania 14 - 3/29/98)
10.     Shawn Michaels vs. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin (WWF Title.  In a FANTASTIC MATCH that saw Tyson change
alliances at the last minute, Stone Cold pins Shawn Michaels for his 1st WWF Title!  This would be HBK's final match as his
nagging back injuries finally caught up with him.  Michaels would disappear for a while after passing the torch to Austin, who
would prove to be a MOST WORTHY successor.  Austin would lead the WWF into its current state of greatness.  Shawn
Michaels passed the torch that he had held for the past several years in SPECTACULAR fashion to Stone Cold and even put
over Mike Tyson on the way out.  Wrestlemania 14 - 3/29/98)

Unfortunately, with the exception of one match for his fledgling wrestling promotion in Texas, this would be Shawn Michaels'
last match as a professional wrestler for sev eral years.  Shawn Michaels, love him or hate him, was the Ric Flair of the 1990s.
He combined charisma, and talent into a near perfect package.  Only time will tell if the Heartbreak Kid ever returns to the
ring.  If he does, then perhaps there will be another volume or two of HBK matches left to make.  If not, then the footage that
we have now will serve as a testament to one of the greatest performers, if not THE GREATEST PERFORMER in the history of professional wrestling.

But just because he won’t appear again as a wrestler for a while, doesn’t mean that the Shawn Michaels story stops here.   The story

does indeed continue.
