Apparently, Orndorff is wearing a cast in response to “Ace” Bob Orton, who always wears a cast with the excuse that
he has a nagging ‘injury’, but of course only uses it to cheapshot his opponents.  Orndorff is playing Orton’s own game.)

8.        Piper’s Pit – King Tonga is supposed to be the guest, but Piper and Orton are preoccupied with Onrdorff’s new cast.  They

in a nightclub setting.  It was like a car wreck.  It was terrible, but you couldn’t help but watch it.  And believe me, you
haven’t heard anything until you’ve watched the Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff sing!

a much more effeminate appearance as time goes on.)

3.         Int – Bruno Sammartino

4.         Scott McGee& Cpl. Kirchner v. Mr. X & The Gladiator (Actually, Tony Atlas was announced as Kirchner’s partner
and after Howard Finkel says his name, he waves his hands in confusion and shakes his head in obvious
disgust.  This is because he apparently wasn’t told beforehand that Atlas hadn’t showed up for work, as
McGee comes out to sub for Atlas.)

5.         Int – Leaping Lanny Poffo

6.         Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff v. Ted Whitly & Mr. Wrestling II (Yes, THAT Mr. Wrestling II.  He was well past
his prime here and only made a few appearances with the WWF)

8.         The Spider v. Fabulous Moolah (JIP from Madison Square Garden (In what seemed like an upset, the Spider pinned

Richter to win the title.  But Richter unmasks her to reveal THE FABULOUS MOOLAH!  It turns out that Wendy’s

Contract was up, and Vince wanted her to sign a new contract for less money.  Wendy tried to hold out for more money

And Vince responded by not sending out the usual woman that wrestles as the Spider Lady, but by having Moolah put

On the Spider Lady’s costume unbeknownst to Richter and pin her for the Title.  Moolah did indeed roll Richter up

Into a small package and Richter attempted to kick out, but Moolah didn’t let her go, and the ref counted to 3.  Richter

Couldn’t believe it, and from the look on her face, really appeared to not have any knowledge of what had happened.  She

Even attempted to continue the match, but the ref made her stop.  Even Howard Finkel sounded confused when he

Announced Moolah as the new champ.  “The Fink” hadn’t been tipped off either!  Richter never worked for the WWF

         Again.  )
